Mrs. Hugunin's 5th graders became scientists as they dissected owl pellets in STEAM Class!

Students had the opportunity to explore what owls eat by carefully examining the pellets and discovering tiny bones and other clues about their prey! 🔎🦴

Our students turned into detectives in the computer lab as they worked to solve a spooky Halloween mystery! 🧩💻

While having fun cracking the case, students were building some important skills:
👂 Active Listening – Paying close attention to important details
🔎 Collecting Context Clues – Searching for evidence to solve the mystery
🧠 Critical Thinking & Problem Solving – Putting the pieces together
💡 Inferencing & Predictions – Using clues to make educated guesses
🤝 Collaboration & Teamwork – Working together to crack the case!

📚💙💛 A little reading and a LOT of fun!

On Friday, we had some of our high school students join us to read to our elementary classes! Our students absolutely LOVED having the big kids visit, and it was so fun to see the smiles, excitement, and connections being made!

We love seeing our Mustangs come together across grade levels! 🐴💙💛 A big THANK YOU to our high school students for spending time with our younger Mustangs! 💙
