🚗 Every day, teens in Citrus County are faced with quick decisions behind the wheel — and the more prepared they are, the safer everyone on the road will be. That’s why the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office offers the , a hands‑on program designed to help new drivers build real skills and real confidence before they face those unexpected moments on the road.

Citrus High School celebrated two incredible educators this past Thursday afternoon as they begin their well-earned retirement journey: Ms. Howard and Ms. Porrino!

Ms. Howard's big heart, kindness, and unwavering care for students and staff have made a lasting impact on our Hurricane family and her former IPS family. Her compassion and dedication will be remembered for years to come.

Ms. Porrino brought joy wherever she went with her contagious smile, positive spirit, and unforgettable dancing that could always brighten a room. She made CHS a happier place simply by being herself.

We are grateful for the countless lives they have touched and the legacy they leave behind at Citrus High School. While we will miss them dearly, we wish them both endless happiness, good health, and many wonderful adventures in retirement.

CHS staff is ready to DUCK OUT for the summer ☀️ We can’t wait to see their adventures.

The CHS Girls Weightlifting team celebrated an incredible season during their banquet on May 14th! From sending five athletes to state competition to earning District Runner-Up honors in one of the toughest districts in Florida, these young women represented Citrus High School with pride, strength, and determination this year.

What stood out most this season was not just the success on the platform, but the confidence, dedication, and unmatched team spirit displayed at every practice and meet. These strong young ladies constantly encouraged one another and even supported fellow competitors, showing true sportsmanship and character along the way.

Congratulations to our student-athletes and coaches on an outstanding season and for representing CHS with class, heart, and Hurricane pride! 💪🖤💛

Great night at our banquet celebrating our 2x County Champion Flag Football team and their incredible regional playoff run! These young ladies demonstrated a true team mentality all season long.

Congratulations, ladies! Your hard work, determination, and teamwork made this season one to remember!

What an incredible evening celebrating our CHS Track & Field family! A huge thank you to our dedicated student-athletes for their hard work, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the season. From our 1st-year letter winners to our Hurricane Award recipients, every athlete represented CHS with pride, heart, and perseverance.

We are also so grateful for the unwavering support of our parents and families who cheer on our athletes every step of the way. Special appreciation goes to our volunteer coaches, Judge Spate and Mr. Piper, for investing their time, leadership, and encouragement into our program this season.
