Today it was the 6th graders turn to hit Culver's for some concrete mixers. Congrats to Elliot, Marcus, Addison, and Hope for reaching your reading goals this summer!

Fourth Grade: Learning in Every Direction! 📚✨

It was a busy morning in 4th grade yesterday where the students have been learning, experimenting, reviewing, and having a little fun along the way!

🎯 Bible Kahoot: Testing their knowledge and having a little friendly competition!

👃 Science: Testing the reliability of our senses with a very interesting experiment involving vanilla extract. (Let’s just say… our senses can sometimes be a little tricky! 😄)

⛵ History: After reviewing Christopher Columbus, students colored and reviewed La Niña, La Pinta, and La Santa María.

🎲 Reading: When there was a little in-between time, students challenged themselves with a reading comprehension board game!

We love seeing our students engaged in so many different ways—asking questions, making connections, working together, and enjoying the process of learning. There’s always something happening in 4th grade!

This year, our middle school students have several different choices for electives. A fan favorite already is Mr. Mogg's electronics/programming class.

In this elective, students are learning, building, experimenting, and troubleshooting as they work through engaging courses such as 30 Days Lost in Space, Cogsworth City, Neon Realm, Nebula Raiders, Pandora’s Box, 37 in 1 Sensor Kit Training, and HERO Introduction Training. 🚀🤖

It will be exciting to see them move beyond simply learning about technology to actually build, experiment, troubleshoot, and discover how things work.

What an awesome first Feast Friday of the school year!

Our students had a full afternoon of learning, creating, and having fun! Secondary students enjoyed trivia games and created beautiful chalk pastel artwork, while our elementary classes got to meet a very special guest—a blue-tongued skink! 🦎

All grades also spent time studying Surat and Tchaikovsky, and kicked off the new school year by beginning their Memory Work. (Mrs. W gave the secondary students the chance to vote on keeping the Timeline as part of our memory work or not. They overwhelmingly voted to keep it!)

What a great start to our Feast Friday tradition! ❤️
