The girls cross country team placed 6th at regionals and qualified for sectionals next week at Busse Woods.
Also, our seniors Ava and Giselle had an amazing race, and both ran their season best yesterday. Amazing job to the team!

🌟 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT 🏴‍☠️

Our last senior and 3 year varsity athlete Ava is a vital part of the team, causes laughs every day, and makes practice so enjoyable.

She says, “My favorite XC running memory would be going down to Peoria and sleeping over for the Richard Spring meet every year, and the pasta that comes with it.”

She started running in 8th grade at Sundling Jr High.

“My plan after high school is going premed at a college.”

🏴‍☠️ SENIOR SPOTLIGHT ✨

The team would describe Giselle as an important part of team spirit and dynamic, very encouraging, and hardworking.

Giselle says, “My favorite memory from XC was when it was the Lights Out Invite, I had so much fun with the team, being able to draw on them before the race started and cheer them on as well.”

“I started running in 4th or 5th grade for girls on the run.”

Her plans after high school are to get into a 4 year college and study Ultrasound Technology.

We are so lucky to have Giselle on our team, make sure to wish her good luck for Conference this Saturday!

The team had so much fun at the Lake Forest Lights Out Invitational! Varsity placed 3rd as a team and our girls in the open race placed 1st as a team! So many PRs, amazing job everyone.
