This year the theme for the Christmas parade was Christmas movies, we chose National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. CCSNA had a great time building and presenting our homage to the Griswolds for the annual Crystal River Christmas Parade. Here are some pictures from building to final product! Thank you to all the CCSNA Family and Friends that helped make it a reality, without whom this Christmas Float could not have been realized! Merry Christmas to all, from the Griswolds! For every nomination, we asked for a story that described what made this School Lunch Hero nominee extraordinary. This is Jacoleās story: āDick & Janes next Hero should be none other than Citrus County's very own Jacole Din! Jacole Din is the manager of Floral City Elementary School located in Floral City, Fl. Jacole excels in her role as manager to provide her students with nutritious meals as well as a safe and positive atmosphere where students feel free to be themselves. When Jacole is not serving her students Breakfast, Lunch and Snack, you will find her dressed up as Bubba the Bullfrog (Floral City Elementary's mascot) for EVERY school event- Fall Festivals, Cookies with Santa, Title One Parent Nights, you name it! She is also holding coloring contests and displaying student art in the cafe, feeding her teachers and staff meals, participating in National School Breakfast and Lunch Week, and working closely with administration to be active in the school community and to ensure that no student goes hungry. Jacole is also an active member and previous President, Vice President and Secretary of Citrus County's School Nutrition Association as well as a member of the state level School Nutrition Association. She participates in the annual SNA conferences and is always excited to share what she learns and bring it back to implement back at school.
