UPDATE: Class of '88 has raised $595 so far for PURPLE PRIDE! 🙏
In the most recent Falls Alumni Newsletter, the PURPLE PRIDE Committee put out a request for donations from each class to be used to buy prizes from local merchants for their Big Prize Bingo in April 2026, one of their many fundraising efforts. They are asking for $500 from each class, and the Class of 1970 has donated $1000 already. If all of us donated at least $5, we could easily make $500. If you are able to do more, please support
The Purple Pride Committee works to improve the quality of education at Independent School District #361 to support academic and co & ex curricular programs. They are also hoping to help with upgrades that are needed at Bronco Arena, Scheela Field, Stuart Nordquist Stadium (football stadium), in the gymnasium, in addition to multiple other various improvements.
If you can help, please Venmo Tina Ham Peterson (last 4 of her phone 7679) at TinaHP1 or mail a check to 5217 Portland Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55417. Please contribute by 11/30/25. Then a single donation from the Class of 1988 will be sent to the PURPLE PRIDE Committee.
Thank you for your generosity.

FOUND & HOME SAFE!!!
My sweet Sophie was hiding inder my neighbor’s house. Thankfully anotneighbor said she had seen her yesterday.
Hey hey 👋🏻 for any of our classmates that are in the Falls.
Not sure we can post stuff like this. However, I’m desperately lost without my sweet Sophie.
We’ve got a missing cat 😢 I’ve been all over our neighborhood and no luck. She snuck out through a basement window that we’ve replaced.
Please keep an eye out for her. Her name is Sophie and both myself and her sister Sasha are going nuts without her.
Call me if you’ve seen her or have found her PLEASE!

We are trying to capture everyone’s mailing addresses. The purpose is to allow us to send sympathy cards out. We are going to start sending out cards when one of us has lost an immediate family member.
Michelle Fulton Misner and myself Stacey Burnell-Fulbright, will be taking care of sending out the cards. Please send via Messenger your mailing addresses to Michelle and I. We WILL NOT post publicly your addresses.
Thank you in advance for your help and support.

BSU Nursing Scholarship: A Husband's Loving Tribute to Our Classmate, Maria Renollet Johanneson.
In Bemidji State University’s nursing program, Maria (Renollet) Johanneson learned many important skills. And, in the enamored eyes of her husband, she possessed qualities that won him over faster than his heart could skip a beat.
Yet after 14 years of marriage, Maria died in July 2023 at the age of 53. Her unexpected passing left a hole in Keith’s heart and left him to pick up the pieces. It’s something he’s still actively learning how to do. But as he navigates the emotional unknown, he’s learned to not succumb to it.
He wants Maria’s legacy to live on, and now, that means supporting nursing students just like her. Keith has pledged a $1 million gift in Maria’s honor to endow nursing scholarships at BSU.
“I really don’t want to take any credit for the gift. I want her name on everything,” Keith said. “It’s a lovely gift, and I’m happy to do it. … She’d be proud.”
