Beth Shermoen is the founder of JJEM Education & Consulting, LLC and the Piedmont Elementary School Principal in Duluth, Minnesota. She graduated from Bemidji State University in Elementary Education with a specialty in communication and literature. Beth is, also, a certified Senior Business Management Professional. She holds a Master’s in K-12 Instruction, with Principal/Superintendent Licensure.

Her professional interests include: JJEM's Whole Child Compass Model, MTSS and Equity in our Schools, school attendance, culture and climate in our schools and classrooms, restoratives circles, PBIS, intervention plans and assessments, strength based instruction and learning, differentiated instruction, transformational leadership through systems of change, policy and practices, and relationships and connectedness through the heart of learning model for each student, classroom and school community. Beth is also a nationwide certified Anti-Bullying Trainer and Mediator. Beth and her husband, Jerrod enjoy time on Rainy Lake with their dog, Rainy. They have two adult children, Jenna and Maria. She created JJEM Education & Consulting, LLC in celebration of her children and nephews, who inspire her every day, Jenna, Jonah, Evan and Maria.
