Yesterday, we shared the historic news. Today, President Cage spoke with the media about what it means for WVSU and West Virginia’s future! 🌱💛🖤

Our $26.5 million USDA grant, the largest competitive grant award in University history, will help build the WVSU Agriculture Complex, with construction expected to begin in early 2027 and occupancy planned for fall 2029.

Building on the State of West Virginia’s $50 million investment, the complex will bring new research, teaching and food safety laboratories to campus to support our students, West Virginia farmers and the West Virginia Department of Agriculture.

“The USDA grant is a game-changer for agriculture in West Virginia,” President Cage said.

Homecoming Saturday was one to remember! 💛🖤

From the parade and W Club Bell-Ringing Ceremony, to tailgating before a thrilling, and heartbreaking football game in front of a packed house, the energy was unmatched.

The day concluded with a legendary Step Show celebrating 100 years of the Alpha Delta Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and the Theta Psi Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.

Thank you to everyone who made this Homecoming celebration so memorable!
