It’s our very first Work Based Wednesday of the school year! Every Wednesday, we’re shining a spotlight on our incredible Work-Based Learning students. These high schoolers are stepping out of the classroom and into local businesses to gain hands-on experience, build real-world skills, and kickstart their careers before graduation. Stay tuned each week to meet the future workforce!
Today’s student spotlight is Alexandra “Alex” Jennings who is a Boiling Springs High School Senior, working with the Boiling Springs Fire Department of Spartanburg.
After completing our Swofford Fire program and earning her Fire 1 & 2 certifications, Alex spent her summer interning with the BSFD of Spartanburg, and now participates in daily training and emergency calls as part of her work-based learning placement.
