Signal Seekers Radio Control Club

Signal Seekers Radio Control Club One of Michigan's oldest active radio control modeling clubs. We are a Gold Leader Club with the Academy of Model Aeronautics, Charter #371.

Our AMA chartered club ( #371) is currently home to over 85 members and is still looking to grow. Our flying field (located on the border of Inkster and Westland, MI) is open year round for club members. Pilots enjoy 5 acres of groomed runways and 20 acres of flyover space for all varieties of aircraft and helicopters. We offer a 450' manicured turf runway, a dedicated FPV course and a separate 200

' turf circle adjacent to the main field for control line flight. A permanent shelter was added to the field in early 2013 to provide a shaded area for spectators. AMA registered flight instructors are available on Wednesday evenings during the flying season for new member flight training as well as discovery flights for pilots of all ages. Club meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of every month at 7PM, at the field in the summer months and at the EAA113 hanger at Plymouth-Mettetal Airport in the winter. At these meetings members and guests come together to review club business, discuss current events in the hobby, and share their latest build projects. Any time our gates are open, we welcome you to stop by and experience model aviation for yourself!
