At Dolores T. Richardson school, part of our early morning program before students begin academics is giving students the opportunity to read aloud to the group. Today, Jamie Adams, a first-grade student who exemplifies academic excellence, proudly read to a group of students.

Jamie’s growth reflects the hard work and guidance of her teacher, Miss Maria, who has helped inspire her love for reading and learning. We are extremely proud of Jamie academically. She is already reading beyond the first-grade level and is progressing toward a second-grade, eighth-month reading level.

Great job, Jamie! Keep up the outstanding work!

Dear Honorable James T. Butts Jr.,

On behalf of the students, staff, and families of Dolores T. Richardson Elementary School, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for taking the time to welcome our students to your office at Inglewood City Hall.

Your willingness to speak with our students and teach them about city government, leadership, and public service made a lasting impact on each child who attended. The experience of visiting City Hall and hearing directly from their mayor was both inspiring and educational.

I truly believe this is an experience the children will remember for the rest of their lives. Opportunities like this help our students see the importance of civic engagement and encourage them to dream big about their futures and the role they can play in their communities.

Thank you again for your kindness, hospitality, and commitment to investing in the lives of young people. We are forever grateful for the time and attention you gave to our students.
