We are so lucky to have Mr Vernon. This school is better because of him! Congratulations Mr Vernon.
For the month of October, Tyler Vernon, of Leon Taylor Middle School was recognized during our School Board Meeting, where he was celebrated for his outstanding efforts. He was also awarded $100 from the Ingleside ISD Education Foundation.
Below is an excerpt from the nomination that was submitted on his behalf.
"Mr. Tyler Vernon has always demonstrated the highest level of professionalism, kindness, and courtesy in every interaction my family has had with him. As my sons’ former middle school principal, he consistently treated students, parents, and staff with genuine respect and care.
Even though my sons are now in high school, Tyler still takes the time to check in on them whenever he sees them. Whether we’re at a school event, out in town, or simply crossing paths in the community, he always makes a point to say hello and ask how they’re doing. That speaks volumes about the kind of person he is.
It’s clear that Tyler’s commitment to students extends far beyond the school day or even the years they spend on his campus. He has made a lasting impact on our family through his character, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the people he serves.
Simply put, Tyler Vernon is an outstanding educator, leader, and human being. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of the Family Matters Award.”
