How do you spend your day off?
Or better yet, who do you spend it with? 🐎🥰

Our Maze Game is great for practicing leg aids and planning. Can you and your horse quietly get through tight turns and tunnels while maintaining gait?? 🐎🤠

Storm did a good first gate 😃 She does get increasingly lazy throughout her rides and I did this after a nice pasture ride with Clint and Wh***ey, so although she wasn't being very light on her cues, she certainly wasn't scared of the task! Now we have some new things to work on and improve!

Just some every day handling turning into training 🤠🐎 After a muddy, muddy week and several days off, Storm gave me an absolutely lovely ride this morning 😍 and then during chores I took advantage of her hanging out "in the way" 😄 Maybe tomorrow we'll start doing some gates!

The past two months have sure offered us lots of weather 😅 but students have still been upping their horsemanship! October often offers some of the best weather - we'd love for you to join! 🍂🐎

Here's a great opportunity to get a trained mustang! I will be going on the 2nd to see what this event is all about, and who knows......maybe I'll go pick a few up on the 3rd 🤷🏼‍♀️😁 I've got approved pens for halter broke ones or untouched yearlings if you're wanting to get one for yourself, or holler at me if you want to ride along and see the program for yourself! I was truly impressed by this facility when I went and adopted Storm. Lots of good horses and good men helping each other out, if you ask me 😊🐎

The BLM, along with Kansas Correctional Industries, will hold a wild horse and burro adoption and open house event at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility, Oct. 2–3, 2026.

Slowly but surely Storm is coming along 😍

I really feel that her being 6 is slowing us down some. The 2 year olds definitely learn quicker. But, I also know that my confidence has been slowing us down some as well.

Earlier this year I got thrown into my fence by another c**t and I have definitely been struggling with confidence and fence phobia.

I don't necessarily feel that she is quite ready to leave the arena, but this morning I said to myself "if you're so damn scared of falling into the fence again why do you keep riding inside of it??????"

So I left the arena 🤣
