We want to say CONGRATULATIONS to Garrett Lowe for being a part of the board for the Martin County Affiliate of Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky.

Forward Martin County was recently established as the Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky’s newest affiliate community foundation!

Their goal is to support projects and partnerships that strengthen Martin County and the surrounding region by investing in workforce development, leadership opportunities, economic growth, community beautification, and initiatives that promote the people, culture, and future of Eastern Kentucky.

Words can’t describe how proud I was to see these students speak at graduation. All five of them have been as successful as any JAG members in history. They represented MCHS JAG KY well, as they always have. Their legacies will forever be immortalized at Martin County High School.

A few pictures before the seniors went on their elementary walks this morning. All of the 2026 MCHS JAG KY seniors have WORKED SO HARD to get this point! Their legacy will live on forever. I couldn’t be prouder of this group! Thank you to Samantha Maynard for fixing these amazing stoles for the kids. They absolutely loved them!

The Martin County High School Broadcasting Network ran by JAG KY/Journalism is going to have a massive 2026-27 school year.

We’re the best broadcasting crew IN THE MOUNTAINS! We want to bring our local businesses along for the ride. This sponsorship opportunity comes with tiers that will determine how much your business is showcased throughout the school year.

NO MONTHLY PAYMENTS!

The sponsorship payment is a ONE-TIME payment that covers you for the entire school year. The students will create advertisements that will be shown on our broadcasts (amount of air-time is determined by sponsorship tier). If your business wants an advertisement aired that is created by your team, that will work!

Sponsorship tier perks are listed in our graphic posted below. The tier packages keep everything simple for us and your business. Our broadcasting crew will broadcast varsity sports and special events that go on throughout the school year.

We would like to thank EVERYONE that made our trip to Utah possible. Our Martin County Community is truly special. We’d also like to thank EVERYONE who participated in our fundraisers. We sold 252 chicken and dumpling dinners! Absolutely incredible!

This video was taken at the Booneville Salt Flats, a must see area if you ever travel to Salt Lake City. This was a once in a lifetime experience for our students.
