da' House of Khafre

da' House of Khafre The most authentic American African cultural arts center in the Mississippi Delta located in downtow

The facility is the first and only cultural arts facility that is dedicated to the cotton-picking legacy of sharecroppers and tenant farmers. Situated in the epicenter of the Mississippi Delta (where Blues was created); in the historic district of Indianola, (across from the place where Fannie Lou Hamer took her heroic stance) there is plenty of private parking; with a waterfront backyard terrace

over looking a beautiful scenic natural reserve (on the bayou). Delta cultural arts, African Art Experience, Teacakes, coffee/teas, smoothies/ice cream, free Internet, educational programming, and a parking lot that is perfectly situated for outdoor festival activities. The management team is committed to implementing concrete programs that stimulate economic growth through youth/community empowerment projects and entrepreneurial opportunities. All of the projects and programs that will be featured at da' House presents an opportunity to demonstrate the love the owners have for the Delta. The clear purpose is to show members of the communities that the world respects the “kin to k’aint” work ethic that not only made cotton king, but the number one industry in America, for over a hundred years; as well as the fact that their creation of Blues music has influenced contemporary music and cultural arts throughout the planet. The amazing thing is the local folks “get it” and trusts the grand ambitions of this enterprise.
