Dolly Parton shared so much wisdom for all of us, but many of her life lessons were particularly applicable to those of us in the beauty industry.

some of our favorite dolly-isms:
• it’s hard to be a diamond in a rhinestone world.
• find out who you are & do it on purpose.
• if anyone tells you your hair is too big, get rid of them. you don’t need that kind of negativity in your life.
• if you don’t like the road you’re walking, pave another one.
• never ignore your roots, your home, or your hair.
• you’ll never do a whole lot unless you’re brave enough to try.
