Franklin Central High School Theatre

Franklin’s Centrals 1st FlashForward camp was a huge success! Over 60 kids, 12 high school counselors and 6 Franklin Central alumni spent 2 week putting together the entire show. It was also a historic moment as this is the first time the high school thespians and the junior thespians have ever collaborated. We hope to see you again next year, stayed tuned for next years show announcement 👀.

While our Matilda Jr. cast has been onstage, our crew has been hard at work behind the scenes!!🛠️🎨 This week, they painted our Crunchem Hall sign, made our Matilda blocks, and so much more! Want to check out the talented works of our actors and crew kids?? Be sure to see Matilda Jr on Friday, June 12th at 2pm and 5pm!! Tickets will be sold at the door for $5 each!

FlashForward is in full swing with rehearsals and we are so excited to show it to you!! Shows on Friday the 12th!

Joaquin is entering his senior year as your Theater Board Chair, and he is so excited to spend this year with all of you! Next year will mark Joaquin’s 6th year in theater and his 15th–17th productions overall. He will be playing Horton the Elephant in Seussical! Some of Joaquin’s previous roles include Chef Louis in The Little Mermaid, The Baker in Into the Woods, Eddie in Mamma Mia!, and Josh in 9 to 5, along with many other productions throughout the years. Outside of theater, Joaquin will also be serving as Co-President of FC Singers during his 3rd year in the group. He is also a 3-year member of Ambassadors and a 2-year member of Chamber Choir.
In his free time, Joaquin loves spending time with friends and family and working at his job.

Vee Granger is an upcoming junior, and one of your board member for the FC Theater 26-27 season. they have acted in 9 to 5, Radium Girls, Little Mermaid, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, and Student Directed in Into the Woods. They understudied for Scuttle and Chef Louis in Little Mermaid, played the Man in Edward Tulane, and understudied for the Narrator in Into The Woods. In Seussical, they’ll be doing all the costume design drafts as well as playing Judge Yertle the Turtle on stage. They are also a 5-year member of the Indianapolis Children’s Choir.

Abby Helfrich is going to be a senior and has participated in 6 previous shows with the
FCHS theatre department, both on and behind the stage. You may recognize her from her role as Margaret in 9 to 5, a sea urchin and jellyfish in The Little Mermaid and Cinderella’s mom...a tree, in Into The Woods. Abby is excited to help the program with her student directing role and as a part of the board this
year.

Ally is entering her junior year and is so excited to be a member of your theatre board this year! This will be her 6th year in theatre, with the upcoming fall musical being her 13th show. Previously she acted in 9 to 5, Radium Girls, The Little Mermaid, and Into The Woods and will be a part of Seussical this fall. Aside from acting, she’s also stepped into crew roles by being an assistant student director for Radium Girls and soon being a part of costumes for Seussical. Outside of theatre, she will be part of the leadership board for Girls Supporting Girls and a member of the show choir High Voltage this upcoming school year, and enjoys reading and music. She’s really looking forward to the year ahead!
