For fleets and OEMs, reliability isn't a preference — it's a requirement.
That's why investments in engineering excellence at Allison Transmission translate directly to fewer field issues, faster innovation cycles, and transmission solutions you can depend on.
Electro-Mechanical Controls Engineer Brett Walker exemplifies this commitment. By designing and building a $100,000 Electromagnetic Testing Lab in-house, Brett's work has eliminated multiple electronic product design iterations — meaning higher-quality, more reliable solutions reach and faster, with greater confidence built in from the start.
Less rework. More precision. Better outcomes for the customers and operators who depend on Allison every mile of the way.
Allison Transmission is proud to see Brett recognized as part of the Conexus Indiana Rising 30 Class of 2026 — honoring Indiana's most impactful young professionals in advanced manufacturing and logistics.
This is the kind of purposeful engineering that powers your uptime. 👏

On May 16th at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway alongside Valvoline Global Operations and the Indiana Section of , proudly presented the 2026 Award to Andrea Bongiovanni and Dominic Coffey of Dallara, recognizing their Tire Ramp Flaps, a passive safety innovation now adopted by the NTT INDYCAR® SERIES to help prevent cars from becoming airborne.
The connection runs deep. James Allison, our founder, was one of the four founding members of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Louis Schwitzer himself won the inaugural 500-mile race. And his namesake award continues to honor the engineering ingenuity that has always defined this industry and our company.
As Robert Merrion, Executive Director of Mechatronics and Control Systems Engineering at Allison Transmission, reflected: "James Allison's founding promise 'Whatever leaves this shop over my name must be of the finest work possible' remains embedded in our engineering culture. Allison is honored to award a team whose work embodies that same standard of excellence."
Congratulations to Andrea and Dominic. Their work carries that promise forward. 🏁
