Heritage Christian School

Heritage Christian School Academic excellence and biblical wisdom prepare students to succeed and impact the world. That intention continues to this very day.

Heritage was founded in 1965 with the specific intention to provide an environment where students can grow spiritually and intellectually. As a Christian school we recognize the distinction between the eternal and the temporal; between the spiritual and the material; between the lasting and the fleeting. Heritage’s emphasis is to teach, model and cultivate for everlasting spiritual growth in our s

tudents. Though temporal, strong academics which train and challenge one’s mind are a vital component to an individual’s spiritual growth, our goal is that Heritage students are fully-equipped disciples of Jesus Christ who impact this world as “salt and light” by proclaiming the transforming message of the gospel and the truth of God throughout their entire lives. Heritage seeks to accomplish this goal through an environment which spans Preschool though 12th grade and embraces curricular and extra-curricular programs. Our faculty and staff recognize their responsibility to use every setting to teach, model and cultivate; whether that be when teaching in the classroom, eating in the lunchroom, coaching on the athletic field or participating in after school clubs. It is during these settings that our faculty and staff integrate a biblical worldview into their interactions with students.

Our students got an up-close look at the “Who Is the Man of the Shroud?” exhibit this week! During guided walk-throughs, students in grades 5–12 explored the displays, engaged with the material, and asked questions about one of history’s most studied and debated artifacts.

We’re thankful to bring this unique educational experience directly to our students on campus.

Connect Time gives our high school students space in the school day to learn, grow, and build community beyond the traditional classroom.

Throughout the week, students use Connect for academic support, chapel, planning and informational meetings, clubs, and Bible and book studies.

One thing we love about Connect: every high school teacher hosts or co-hosts one of these opportunities, creating even more ways for students and faculty to build meaningful relationships.

What an incredible evening at Heritage! A sold-out audience gathered last night for “Who Is the Man of the Shroud?” with Dr. Jeremiah J. Johnston.

Through historical, scientific, medical, archaeological, and biblical evidence, Dr. Johnston explored the Shroud of Turin and its connection to the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection.

We are grateful for this opportunity to thoughtfully examine the evidence and reflect on the enduring truth and hope of the Gospel.

High school students welcomed Dr. Jeremiah J. Johnston to chapel this morning as he shared about the Shroud of Turin and its connection to the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We are grateful for opportunities that encourage our students to examine historical evidence, think deeply about their faith, and grow in their understanding of the truth of the Gospel.

While tonight’s presentation with Dr. Johnston is sold out, students in grades 5–12 will participate in guided walk-throughs of the “Who Is the Man of the Shroud?” exhibit during the school day Wednesday through Friday. The exhibit will also be open to the public Friday, September 11, from 5:00–7:00 PM and Saturday, September 12, from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM.

At Heritage, Bible class is not simply one graduation requirement. High school students take a Bible course every semester, allowing them to study Scripture deeply and explore how biblical truth applies to every area of life.

Through each one, students are challenged to understand what they believe, examine other perspectives, apply God’s Word, and grow in their ability to live out and defend their faith.

No matter where God leads our students after graduation, our desire is for His Word to remain their foundation. 💙
