Decatur Gold Academy

⭐️What an eventful last day at Gold Academy. So much fun was had at the 6th grade staff vs. student basketball game, a lot of tears as the 6th grade did their final walk through the halls, and one last wave goodbye as the buses rolled away for summer break.

We are so proud of our students and all they’ve accomplished this year. Have an amazing summer, and good luck to our 6th graders on their next adventure! ☀️🎉

⭐️What an amazing Field Day at Gold Academy! ☀️💛 Our students had a blast enjoying tons of fun activities, music, popcorn, Kona Ice, and even a special visit from Kaos! ⭐️We were so proud to recognize two incredible members of our school community during today‘s Gold Pride. Ashley Tooley, Teacher of the Year, and Jamia Rouse, Staff Member of the Year! They go above and beyond every day to support our students, staff, and school. Please join us in congratulating them on this well deserved recognition! 🎉

⭐️Today was an eventful and exciting Gold Pride! We celebrated our Students of the Month, students demonstrating E + R = O, and several 6th grade students who are excelling in math. Our second grade students also shared a great presentation about the difference between insects and bugs! 🐞
We were proud to recognize our Teacher of the Year, Ashley Tooley, and our Staff Member of the Year, Jamia Rouse. 🎉Congratulations to everyone who was recognized today! We are so proud of our students and staff!

⭐ Our K–2nd graders danced the night away at the Dance with Someone You Love event! What a sweet evening full of smiles, laughter, and the best dance moves around. Thank you to all the families who made it such a special night! 💃🕺💕🪩

⭐️Today we celebrated our Gold Pride! ✨ Congratulations to all of the amazing students who were recognized and to our Staff Member of the Month, Mrs. Ramsey! Our 4th graders put on such a fun performance, and we kicked off an important conversation about focusing on kindness throughout the month. So proud of our school community!🎉

⭐️ We loved having the Decatur Central Show Choir visit today! 🎶 They gave our students an exciting preview of some of the Fine Arts opportunities waiting for them as they get older.✨💃🏼🕺🏽
