What an incredible day we had on Friday! Our 1st–8th grade students officially discovered the Nest they will call home throughout their entire journey at West! Our Nests are built around values we want our students to carry with them both inside and outside of school:
Altruismo – Givers
Amistad – Friendship
Isibindi – Courage
Reveur – Dreamers

The excitement, energy, and school spirit on Friday were absolutely phenomenal! From this point forward, each student's Nest will become a family within our West family. Students will have opportunities throughout the year to connect across grade levels, build friendships, encourage one another, compete together, celebrate together, and grow together. Our hope is that every student knows there is a place where they belong and people who are cheering them on.

Congratulations to Mr. Duane Curry, as he has been promoted to Assistant Principal at Christel House West, serving alongside current AP, Mrs. West!

Since joining Christel House West as a 5th grade teacher in 2020, Mr. Curry has demonstrated a proven track record of student success while building strong, positive relationships with students, staff, and families. His dedication, leadership, and commitment to our school community have made a lasting impact.

We are excited for Mr. Curry as he begins this new endeavor and are confident he will do an outstanding job serving our students, staff, and families in his new role!

When you choose CHA West for your elementary or middle school student, they automatically have a seat in our high school once they reach 9th grade. Our College & Careers program, along with the opportunities Watanabe High School offers, give students a boost for their future that can't be found anywhere else. Our summer school students are having some really fun adventures! Their mornings are spent working on those academic skills to stay fresh over the break and in the afternoons they've gone to an Indianapolis Indians game, been swimming, participated in Math Hoops with special guest, Freddy Fever, made animals from play-doh, and tested their working volcanoes!

Many of these activities also include our students at Christel House Academy South as we continue building bonds within our CH Indy family!
