Ready, Set, Innovate! 🚀

AYS administrators and staff recently attended the 2026 College and Career Readiness Innovation Challenge Conference, hosted by the Indiana Youth Institute.

Together with other community partners, AYS shared lessons learned, explored new approaches, and developed practical plans to strengthen college and career readiness in our communities.

We’re excited to see where our staff take these lessons and ideas as we continue to improve, innovate, and create new opportunities for the children and families we serve!

Starting Monday, August 31st, you can register your camper for AYS Fall Days at four convenient locations:

October 12-16 | Indianapolis Public Schools
Location: Indiana State Fair Grounds

October 12-16 | Plainfield Schools
Location: Central Elementary

October 19-23 | Decatur Schools
Location: Blue and Gold Academy

October 5-9, 2026 | Washington Township
Location: Nora Elementary School

Back to school at AYS, Inc. FEELS like home. 🚀

Blue Academy - MSD Decatur & Decatur Gold Academy are making AYS home for new faces and reuniting our returning staff and students. After a long first week of school, these kiddos were ready for an afternoon of play to wrap up their day.

This is just the start of a great year waiting to happen! We are excited to be back in schools, which are our homes.

Thank you to our summer interns!

We want to take a moment to recognize and appreciate our summer interns for all the hard work they have done over the past few months. AYS, Inc. launched its summer intern program at the start of this summer, and these students truly blew us away with their dedication, creativity, and contributions.

We are excited to see what they accomplish in the future and could not be happier that Paul Cormany and Katherine Jackson will be staying with us throughout the school year.

Here is what each of them had to say about their experience at AYS!

Left, Braden Wright, HR Marketing Intern: “This summer I was the HR Marketing Intern at AYS. In this role, I got to dig into employer branding, HR documentation, and workforce analytics — from candidate personas and EVP development to job posting redesigns and onboarding material. I’m grateful for how much hands-on ownership I had over real projects that actually shaped how the organization recruits and retains people.”

Middle, Paul Cormany,Data Analytics Intern: “My experience at AYS as the data analytics intern was an invaluable one that will carry me to my future goals in regard to data visualization, funneling, and analysis. I gained significant expertise in automation, dashboard creation, and data pulling. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at AYS and believe that I have begun to pave a path of data-driven decision making to better improve our sites for the children!”

Right, Katherine Jackson, Marketing and Communications Intern: “As the Marketing and Communications Intern, my key responsibilities included remaking parent boards for all 40 sites, creating a photography portfolio, developing social media content, and completing various graphic design projects, including the FY 26 Impact Report. Interning at AYS was a unique experience that allowed me to grow professionally, both in my work and as an individual. It was truly an instrumental part of my career development and provided me with valuable experiences that I will carry with me throughout my career.”
