We are excited to introduce the AI Innovation Club, a new opportunity for Lawrence Central and Lawrence North students who are interested in technology, creativity, problem-solving, and the rapidly growing world of Artificial Intelligence.

This club is about more than simply using AI to answer questions. Students will learn how to use AI as a tool to create, innovate, and solve real-world problems. Throughout the experience, students will explore prompt engineering and ethical AI, learn how coding and APIs can connect ideas to technology, work collaboratively to develop their own AI-powered applications, and ultimately present their work during a Pitch Showcase.

No prior coding experience is required. Whether your student is already an experienced coder or simply curious about technology and AI, there is a place for them in the club. Students from both Lawrence Central and Lawrence North are invited to attend our upcoming AI Innovation Club Callout Meeting:

When: Wednesday, September 2
Transportation: Students can ride the MCIT shuttle from both high schools, but must provide their own ride home.
Where: MCIT Room 237
Time: 4:00pm - 5:00pm

LT is proud to partner with Smart Mouth Foods, bringing high quality, restaurant-style pizza to secondary school cafeterias. As part of their community outreach, they donate one meal to a child in need for every 10 pizzas sold. 🍕

Thanks to Lawrence Township, a total of 100,854 meals have been donated to date! 🎉
