The conversation helped us dig deeper into the family, the smart box, the tension between dependence and independence, and what freedom means when history is still speaking back.

Bar Exams is happening TODAY, August 7, at Grapevine with Ujamaa Bookstore! 🎤

Gather with fellow lovers of the spoken word and language enthusiasts for an evening celebrating the power of hip hop with hip hop lyrics performaed as monologues, community, and a little friendly competition.
