The most recent addition to the Irish Republican Movement Collection is video from a Gerry Adams press conference in July 1995, almost one year into the Provisional IRA's ceasefire. Adams' comments offer insight on the complexity of the early stages of the peace process and the negotiations that had yet to take place. The press conference may be found here:

The Irish Republican Movement Collection includes online issues of The Irish People, the New York based newspaper that was closely aligned with Irish Northern Aid. The collection has almost the entire set of issues. https://ulib.iupui.edu/digitalcollections/IP At the moment, we are in the process of adding photographs from The Irish People. As an example, and as part of Black History Month, here is a photo of Gerry Adams presenting Rosa Parks with a Waterford Crystal bowl, in Detroit (1994). https://indianamemory.contentdm.oclc.org/digital/collection/IP/id/16523/rec/3

The most recent addition to the Irish Republican Movement Collection at IUPUI is this new documentary, Cumann na mBan: The Women's Army. Cumann na mBan, founded in 1914, has played a significant role in the Irish Republican Movement from the 1916 rebellion, through the more recent "Troubles" (1969-1998), on through to today.
The documentary is open-access and available here: https://ulib.iupui.edu/video/CumannnamBan .
Although women and men are comrades in many social movements, the participation of women is often marginalized. Cumann na mBan, an exclusively female organization, was and is a unique response by Irish women to their marginalization in the Irish Republican Movement. http://www.ulib.iupui.edu/video/CumannnamBan
Included are interviews with Mary Ward, who served as President of Cumann na mBan in the late 1970s, Margaret Walsh, who has been described as “the best intelligence officer the Republican Movement had” (see page 10, http://ulib.iupuidigital.org/cdm/compoundobject/collection/IrishNews/id/6756/rec/3), and Peig King, who served as O/C (Commanding Officer) of the Dublin unit in the 1970s. These interviews are complemented by historical photos, archival video, and contemporary information.
