Our Doctor of Health Science graduates are making impacts across the country in clinics, health facilities, and classrooms. Dr. Connie Fiems is using her expertise and education as Chief Scientific Officer at Rock Steady Boxing.

The DHSc program prepared me to transition from full-time clinician to full-time academia as an Assistant and then Associate Professor within the Krannert School of Physical Therapy. The research courses helped me establish a scholarly agenda and the instructional design and curriculum classes helped me develop my teaching skills. What I appreciated most about the program was being encouraged to think ahead about how I might want to use that knowledge in my future career, and being allowed to focus on that aspect within each course. I continue to apply all of those skills in my role as Chief Scientific Officer at RSB which includes assuring our program is evidence based, collaborating with researchers, other PD non-profits and educating our affiliate coaches.

This is a new opportunity for visitors with disabilities and/or sensory sensitivities to experience the museum in a new way. This event will take place in our outdoor Riley Children's Health Sports Legends Experience. Adaptive equipment is available for each sport in our outdoor experiences during regular museum hours as well.
