The Center for Young Children provides child care and early childhood education for the University's diverse population as well as the general public and is also a supportive unit of IUPUI. All of the children are encouraged and guided by experienced, degreed and professional teachers. Being part of the University, the Center also acts as a research and training site where students can put textboo

k theory to practice and faculty can investigate areas of early childhood development and family issues. C*C provides a safe and caring environment that promotes learning and child development. We offer year round programs for children ages 6 weeks - 5 years and also programs for school age children during the summer months and some intercessions.

The Center for Young Children is proud to partner with Indiana University academic programs to provide meaningful, hands-on learning experiences for future professionals. This summer, C*C welcomed Physician Assistant (PA) students enrolled in the Health Promotion course for classroom observations focused on early childhood development.

During their visit, students will observe developmental milestones, engage in age-appropriate interactions with young children, and gain valuable experience communicating with children. These real-world experiences help prepare future healthcare professionals while highlighting the important role early childhood education plays in supporting healthy growth and development.
Through partnerships like these, C*C continues to serve as a model learning environment that strengthens the connection between higher education and the community while enriching the educational experiences of both university students and the children we serve.
