Try a pattern hunt.

Look for patterns together — stripes on shirts, tiles on the floor, red-blue blocks. Then challenge your child to make one of their own.

Practice time words: yesterday/today/tomorrow.

Use them during daily routines: “Yesterday we read this book. Tomorrow we’ll visit grandma.”

By age 4, many children can hop on one foot, dress themselves, draw shapes, and build tall block towers. Celebrate your child’s growth!

Explore shapes—flat and 3-D.

Encourage cognitive development and problem solving through activities where children try multiple approaches—like block building or puzzle work.

Support your child’s communication.

Encourage them to explain how they completed a task or describe steps in a familiar routine.

Help your child follow multi-step directions.
