✨ Indianapolis Gives ends in just 2 days — and we are overwhelmed with gratitude. ✨
To everyone who has donated so far: thank you. Your generosity is not abstract — it literally helps us keep the lights on and keep this program alive for the students who depend on it.
At HER Design Academy, we serve high school students who thrive with hands-on learning. Our program gives them a place to:
🔨 Explore careers in the trades, design, and construction
🎨 Build real projects with real tools — not just worksheets
👷♀️ Discover confidence, leadership, and problem-solving skills
💡 Learn in a supportive environment where creativity meets capability
🤝 Connect with mentors who invest in their growth
✨ And for many students, we become the bridge between “I’m not sure what I want to do” and “I can actually see a future for myself.”
These funds directly support:
• Program supplies + tools
• Safety equipment
• Instructor time and workshops
• Real-world projects
• Transportation support for students who need it
We are building more than projects — we are building futures.
And we cannot do it without you.
💛 If you haven’t donated yet, there’s still time.
Every gift, big or small, truly makes a difference.

🔨 Design-build isn’t just about blueprints. It’s about making sure you don’t have to YouTube “how to fix a running toilet” at midnight. 😂
Right now, our Prototype 10 students are framing walls, learning welding basics, and preparing to construct a tiny house.
They’re gaining hands-on design-build and construction training that will carry them into lifelong careers.
But here’s the truth: building futures takes more than grit — it takes community.
💡 Your donation keeps the saws buzzing, the welders sparking, and the dreams growing.

You already know construction industry is facing a real gap right now.
You know we need builders, designers, and problem solvers — but we also need mentors, employers, and advocates who are willing to open doors for the next generation.
At HER Home Design Academy, Inc. we get to see students step up every day.
They’re learning how to frame walls, install systems, design spaces, and — most importantly — they’re building the confidence to know they belong in this industry.
The HER Design Build LLC team is hard at work. But we can’t do it alone.
It takes partners, collaborators, and supporters who believe in creating real opportunities. Every bit of support helps us put tools in students’ hands and keep moving the mission forward.
If you’ve ever thought about how you could make a difference in workforce development, this is it.
Together, we can build the workforce of tomorrow.
And if you’re interested in supporting our mission — whether through partnership, mentorship, or resources — send me a message. I’d love to connect.

🚧💪 Our Academy students are learning the ropes of framing walls today! Hands-on training like this prepares them for real-world success in the design-build industry.
Huge thank you to for the framing gun — it’s been a game-changer for teaching. 🙌 We’re currently borrowing one, but our school could definitely use a couple more to keep our students moving forward. 👷🏾♂️👷🏽♀️
And big gratitude to for teaching today’s session! The students are framing a wall that will soon be ready for siding — the next big step in their build. 🔨🪚
Investing in tools = investing in the next generation of builders. ✨

Turnover in construction is almost 57%.
Think about that.
More than half of our workforce turns over every year — according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, it’s one of the highest churn rates of any industry.
That means if you start the year with 10 crew members, more than 5 will be gone by year’s end.
I see so many of us scrambling with signing bonuses, temp hires, or quick fixes. I’ve tried them too — and I can tell you, they don’t last.
What does last?
Building real pipelines. Creating ways to bring people in early, train them well, and give them a reason to stay.
That’s what we’re building here at HER Home Design Academy, Inc.
I’m curious — what’s working (or not working) for you when it comes to keeping good people in your construction/remodeling business?
