Happy 95th Birthday to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
He left us so much wisdom, so many lessons, countless opportunities for look in the mirror to assess the self!
Here’s one of my favorite! We should all check the mirror and the temperature of the water we may have become adjusted to.
If ‘positive peace’ is our goal, we must be maladjusted to apathy and lukewarm attitudes about freedom and justice.

Black History Month Fact of the Day:
Today’s fact celebrates the contributions African Americans in Space. On this day in 1995, Dr. Bernard Harris became the 1st black man to walk in space. Other black astronauts that paved the way included, Major Robert Henry Lawrence Jr. who in 1967 became the 1st black astronaut. Dr. Guion Bluford, was the 1st Black American in space, and Dr. Mae Jemison, the 1st Black Woman in Space.

Kudos to MSD Washington Township for making your position clear! Equity is not to be feared, it’s not a bad word, it’s not indoctrination, it’ doesn’t promote hate…. it IS what educators must be committed to in order to ensure all kids get what they need to be successful.
