First of all, THANK you to everyone who submitted! We read 77 scripts this year!

Writers, if selected...you are just getting started.

To finish the job, we need ALL selected writers (and everyone else) to attend the table reads THIS FRIDAY from 1-3.

These readings are a key part of the process and are essential for our success. COME! Meet in Miss Sheehan’s room!

Okay...let’s roll, eh?

Let’s start with the 1-minutes. This year’s TEN 1-minute plays will be directed Dominick Heyob!

The first 1-minute selection is “When Real Life Isn’t Like the Movies” by Lauren Franzetti ! Congratulations!

Next, director Sasha Sears has a selection in with “Thanks, Siri”!

The battle of the mom plays has a first winner with “Mom.” by Daisy Robles !

Gillian Heizman has a selected 1-minute in “Thought Bubbles”!

Director Sasha Sears in joined by brother Michael Sears in bringing us “Fake News”!

We have another mom play with “The Truth Behind Mom’s Leaving” by Kali Adams!

Director Maggie Sears has a 1-minute selection with “Movie Night”!

And, actually, while we are there….Maggie’s “Our Dead Friend John” is in, as well!

Matthew Hayden penned a winner with “The Calilgrapher”!

The final 2018 1-minute is unknown to us. No. Really. There’s no danger, but the final short selection in “Stranger” by Benjamin Fair!

Hmmm…..is that it? No? OH! One acts! Let’s do those, shall we?

So, you know how we kept telling you that we’d NEVER pick a play about writing a FEST play? Well…..oops?

The first one act selection this year is Dominick Heyob’s Headspace: A Writer’s Dilemma. It will be directed by Grace Summers!

We’re gonna have a little sister swap for the next one act! Maggie Sears will be directing Pablo by Sasha Sears!

Sasha Sears will be directing historical drama Kingfish by Joseph Carper! Congratulations!

That means that Reni Boyarov will be directing our final one act selection...which is…

..the one that the Brunette first fell in love with during this year’s reading…

Congratulations to Stephanie Gerrish and Kali Adams for writing one of the creepiest submissions EVER with Puppetmaster!
