Calm box dinner! One thing I think is really unique is that these aren’t just “enrichment boxes.” They’re individualized dinner boxes. Each one is different based on the dog’s personality and preferences.

🐾 Mom always told us not to play with our food… but dogs are the exception! 🐾

Sunday evenings are my chance to catch up on laundry, clean the house, or just sit down and relax for a few minutes. Instead of serving dinner in a bowl, my crew gets a Calm Box Dinner!

Each dog gets their own basket filled with a mix of:
🐶 Snuffle mat
🦴 Favorite chew toys
🧩 Puzzle toys
🥜 Stuffed food toys
👃 Hidden kibble and treats tucked throughout

Instead of inhaling dinner in 30 seconds, they spend their time sniffing, searching, licking, chewing, and problem-solving. It keeps their brains busy, encourages natural behaviors, and gives me a little uninterrupted time to get things done—or simply enjoy a quiet cup of coffee.

The best part? Every box is different! I rotate toys and hide their food in new places each time, so dinner is always an adventure.

Mental enrichment can be just as important as physical exercise. A tired brain often makes for a calmer, happier dog.

🐾 A Simple, Budget-Friendly Way to Boost Your Dog’s Dinner! 🦴

Did you know you can make your own dog-safe bone broth at home?

Bone broth is an easy way to add moisture, flavor, and variety to your dog’s meals—especially for picky eaters or dogs that need a little extra encouragement at mealtime.

🐶 Simple Homemade Bone Broth Recipe

✔️ Beef soup bones, marrow bones, or knuckle bones (or turkey necks/chicken carcasses if appropriate for your dog)

✔️ Water to completely cover the bones

✔️ 1–2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar

Place everything in a slow cooker and cook on LOW for 18–24 hours (12–18 hours for poultry). Strain the broth, cool completely, then refrigerate overnight. Remove the hardened fat from the top before serving.

🥣 Add a few tablespoons over your dog’s kibble or freeze into ice cubes for an easy treat!

🚫 Never add:
❌ Onion
❌ Garlic
❌ Salt
❌ Pepper
❌ Other seasonings

⚠️ Important Safety Reminder: Never give your dog cooked bones. After making broth, discard the bones—they can splinter and cause serious injury.
