Toastmasters Pioneer Club 17

The Area 51 contest was held today. A wonderful time. Pioneer had 7 members present - an excellent showing! Three of us competed. The sharp eyed among us will realize that Sarah from Woodman is holding BOTH First Place trophies! What a treat to see so many fine efforts by Toastmasters from all four Area 51 clubs. A great day indeed..

A new member for Pioneer 17, and an old friend returned!

Here's one of the superb paintings by Pioneer member Parrish. She has enriched several of or meetings with a wide range of her weork. Amazing - like every Pioneer meeting!

Pioneer 17 had an outstanding meeting last week! After two fine speeches we had a rip roaring, rib tickling Impromptu session that Ruth led for us. Everyone learned interesting facts and everyone had a great time. Hope to see toy all this week!

Sad news for all of us in Pioneer 17. Warren Sherman has passed away at age 99. Warren was a delightful person and a superb Toastmaster. He joined Pioneer over 50 years ago and has been a constant inspiration and blessing to the club and the hundreds of members who have known him over the years. He will be missed by all of us.

Another fun and educational Pioneer 17 meeting. Currently we award our speakers with ribbons. Are marble statues in the town square the next step? We'll see - and so cn you if you visit us on Thursday evenings at 6:30 at First Financial Bank, 8740 S>. Emerson. See you soon.
