Congratulations to our finalists in the Barrister competition! Our Mitzi H. Martin Winning Moot Court team was Megan Hill and Olivia Burpo. The Christopher M. Maine Top Oralist in the Final Barrister Round was Joey Baerstchi. Best Brief in the Staton Competition was written by Noah Tallman. And the Mitzi H. Martin Best Oral Advocate in the Preliminary Rounds was Olivia Burpo.

Meet Associate Justice of Competition Management, Caroline Crouch. Caroline is a 3L day student from Indianapolis, Indiana. Caroline graduated from Indiana University where she majored in Liberal Studies with minors in Education Policy & Sociology. At McKinney, Caroline is a member of Women’s Caucus and Phi Delta Phi. Caroline is a current clerk in school law practice group at Church Church Hittle & Antrim. In her free time Caroline loves to spend time with family and friends, and play with her 8-month old golden retriever puppy, Snow!

Meet Associate Justice of Information Management Meaghan Etling! Meaghan is a 3L day student from Terre Haute, IN. Meaghan graduated from DePauw University where she majored in English and minored in History. Meaghan was named to the Order of Barristers during the Fall of 2021. At McKinney, Meaghan served as Treasurer of the Student Outreach Clinic and is a member of the Wrongful Conviction Clinic. This past summer, Meaghan worked as a JAG Legal Intern at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, CO. A fun fact about Meaghan is that she has a mini golden doodle named Caribou!

Meet Associate Justice of Competition Management Emily Bullen! Emily is a 3L evening student from Clarkston, MI. Emily received her BA from California Lutheran University and her MBA from the University of Michigan. Emily was named to the Order of Barristers during the Fall of 2021. At McKinney, Emily is a member of Women’s Caucus, Phi Delta Phi, and a Note Development Editor on the Editorial Board for Indiana Law Review. Emily works full-time as a Senior Product Manager for AWS ImmersionDays. A fun fact about Emily is that she has a 3-month old eng-a-poo puppy named Gemini Ursa Major.
