UH Coaches

We kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month at UH with our first Cultural Kitchen!!! Everyone enjoyed Corn in a Cup (Elote en Vaso) and Tres Leches Cake. The music, the food, and great vibes made it an awesome time.

September 8th has been designated as 988 Day, the first annual event dedicated to raising awareness about the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline and mental health support services. If you or someone in you know needs help, please don't hesitate to reach out and share this crucial information.

Conversation Circle's Foods Around the World event provided a delightful ending to the week. Shout out to Coach Courtney and Interventionist Aleahya for organizing the event.

We're grateful for everyone who attended Coffee with the Coaches. Coaches Audrey and Courtney did a great job and we're looking forward to Term 2.

Juneteenth, celebrated on June 19th, commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. On this day in 1865, Union soldiers brought news of freedom to enslaved people in Galveston, Texas—two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It's a time to honor African American resilience, culture, and progress, reflecting on our shared history and striving for equality.
