Red flag appears to clear up debris from Townsend Bell's wreck. With 8 laps to go, this means a exciting finish is coming our way.

It's coming down to the wire! Dixon and Newgarden both have collisions and exit the race with less than 40 laps to go. Tagliani, Hunter-Reay and Carpenter are the three leaders with 27 laps to go.

We are now past the halfway point of the 98th Indianapolis 500!
Update:
Graham Rahal and Buddy Lazier are both officially out of the race. Tony Kanaan is still racing in 30th but fighting an uphill battle after compounding problems during a pit stop. There have been 17 lead changes with Castroneves currently the leader. The first 100 laps have seen no yellow flags and also set a record for the fastest first half of any 500!

Here's the rundown through just over 50 laps:
Your leaders are Will Power, Ed Carpenter and JR Hildebrand. Three rookies, Sage Karam, Mikhail Aleshin, and Kurt Busch are currently 18th, 19th and 20th respectively. Helio Castroneves received a warning for blocking Marco Andretti. Graham Rahal has an engine problem and is in pit lane with his crew trying to sort out the issue.
