IWU Bridge Initiative — Educational Support through Partnerships when "Life Happens" ...we may want a bachelor's degree, because we know that will lead to the job we have in mind, and we will live “happily ever after”. I can tell you, as a higher education professional, the timeline rarely looks this way.

📣 We would like to introduce one of our newer partners FVP Services (Bobby Schlageter)! We are so excited to work hand in hand with FVP Services to create more educational opportunities for their students.

FVP Services changes lives by helping prepare firefighters for what they call Firefighter 2.0, providing firefighters in any phase of their career the information to plan for what comes after the fire service and how to make the most of their career as they prepare for what is their next calling. We are looking forward to this collaboration and are looking forward to helping prepare these firefighters for their futures.

The Bridge Initiative would like to introduce one of our partners, Shepherd Community Center! We are working with Shepherd to serve our neighbors on the near east side of Indianapolis.

Shepherd Community Center walks alongside our neighbors in every phase of life, meeting people where they are and encouraging them to lives of greater wholeness. They work to build assets into people’s lives so they can break the bonds of generational poverty. The IWU Bridge Initiative welcomes a national men’s ministry as one of its newest partners: The KING Movement. We are excited to bring some ministry and marketplace training & development to the men of KING (and their families) in 16 chapters across the US, as well as those who attend their annual KING Summit.

The KING Movement’s mission is to empower men to reach our God-given potential in every realm of life through the power and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bridge Initiative is excited to join them in this movement and create an open door for this community. The KING Movement
