My work offers so many incredible opportunities. Being with young people and watching them grow is a gift. Recently, I have been thinking a lot about the love I am able to witness when parents come at the end of the day. It makes me smile, knowing that my small group of families represent the majority. :) Thanks to all past and present Little Hands families!

Policies and Guidelines
2023
Tuition rate for full time childcare is $180 per week. Tuition is due at the beginning of each week. Late fees for unpaid tuition are $10 per day. I will not accept a child for drop off if tuition is more than one week late. Full tuition is expected, regardless of attendance. Little Hands Discovery Center is open for operation from 7 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. Late pick up fees are five dollars per fifteen minutes per child. I am closed with pay for business on the following holidays; New Years’s Day, Memorial Day, The Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. I take two paid weeks off per year and give two months’ notice as to when that takes place. Families who give 30 days notice will receive 50 percent off tuition for vacation time, up to two weeks per year. Sick time will be paid at the regular tuition rate.
Snacks and meals are included in the price of tuition for children old enough to eat along with the group. Snacks are healthy in nature and lunches are well balanced. I ask that children with allergies or food sensitivities provide their own snacks and meals. Milk is served at lunch and breakfast, and water is available to children throughout the school day. Parents of infants will need to provide their own formula or breast milk and baby food. Parents wishing to bring their own bottles may do so and I am able to keep and wash bottles. I provide nursery water for preparing bottles. Parents of children in diapers must provide either disposable or cloth diapers as well as wipes. I am unable to wash cloth diapers. It is helpful for me to have at least two changes of clothes, seasonally appropriate, for each child. Each child will have a storage space for keeping items here for parents who chose not to bring a diaper bag each day.
All medicine to be given during the day must be given to me with instructions in the morning. Medicine may not be left in diaper bags. Per CDC guidelines, anyone who has symptoms of respiratory or gastrointestinal infections, such as cough, fever, sore throat, vomiting, or diarrhea, should stay home. Testing is recommended for people with symptoms of COVID-19 as soon as possible after symptoms begin. I will ask for a child to be taken home who has a fever over 100 F, who has vomited, who has had diarrhea more than three times in one day, or who has an unidentifiable rash or discharge from the eyes. I ask that children stay home for 24 hours before returning to school after being free of symptoms, unless a doctor has given clearance to return to school. If I suspect that anything is wrong with a child, I will call a parent and communicate my concerns.
All activities offered during the day are included in the price of tuition. I will do my best to help children take care of any special items they bring to school from home, but cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items.
