Confessions of a 3rd Generation:

Before I express to you and state my piece
I ask that judgement not be passed.
This is for growth and release
And as I open up my heart, I hope you open your mind
Because the only thing that will heal this is the essence of time

My name is irrelevant but I came to share with you
The stories of 4 different women with a dim point of view
Shattered from darkness but reborn from light
Because these are four different women that had to put up a fight

The first woman was an immigrant with a tattered dream
Who was forced to give her life up to a diamond ring
Little did she know she’d meet the upper hand
After confronting all his gambling and lost his ford mustang

The second woman now met that same upper hand
Forced to give her ring to his mistress in a foreign land
As they lay in her bed, she slept in the car and sat
Then one day he locked it up and then she met his bat

The third woman was pregnant with her fourth boy and sixth child
Her belly met his foot but silence left her exiled
And yet another mistress all this time drove them out of state
He presented the divorce, and mentally distraught she gave up her eight

He never held a knife to her to make her sign
But Broke and distressed she put her pen to the line
No money to give but only her heart
Her kids were raised to think she’s crazy, unstable, and mentally scarred

The fourth woman found that abuse knows no gender
A wicked woman came and took absolute splendor
In manipulating minds but she saw the truth
Tried to cry out to her father but he put her on mute

Couldn’t hold her temper when she’d storm in her room
Pulling and beating on her head then saying that there’s nothing she can do
The truth barely comes out after years of divorce
Yet still insignificant but caught in the middle of their court

As everyone consoles him and acts all pi**ed
The pain he instilled upon his daughter is completely dismissed
but unlike her real mother however, she didn’t get kicked
The back of her head met the front of his fists

But no one believed her when she called out for help
saying that she probably deserved it and we’ve all got the belt
and what is she to do, put him in jail herself?

Confused because he fed her and had a comfortable bed
As she laid upon another, she prayed that she could be dead
Years go by she thought to forgive and forget
More years went by and she’s still feeling regret

Because 6 years later he points the finger and says
“You’re psychotic, selfish, and i’m sick of your sh*t”
He raises his hand and she clenches her fist
Her eyes say “Do it and I will not resist”

Her whole entire family looks at him like a hero
who sacrificed everything and came up from zero
and though the story’s true his stress shouldn’t constitute violence
I am here now to finally break all the silence

I’ve spent the past 6 years of my life combating violence and strife
And abuse of every kind, men and women alike
Started my own organization and built own my reputation
Because I don’t wish this feeling upon a soul from any nation

And I’m done with everybody saying you’re behind this degree
This is for my grandmothers, my best friend, my mother, and me
This one is for the victims of survival and fight
3 generations of silence fu***ng ends here tonight.
