Indiana University And Purdue Will Split IUPUI Into Two Separate Institutions Indiana University and Purdue University have agreed to end their 52-year partnership in the form of IUPUI. Under the terms of an MOU signed Friday, two separate institutions will be formed and are expected to be operating by fall, 2024.

Shiaofen Fang is the Department of Computer and Information Science Department Chair as well as the Director of the recently founded Institute of Integrative AI at IUPUI. His recent research interests are focused on data visualization, visual analytics, interactive AI and their application in brain connectome image analysis, 3D facial image analysis for medical diagnosis, healthcare data visualization, and spatiotemporal visualization.
