The U.S. Department of Transportation recently announced national efforts to shut down hundreds of non-compliant CDL training providers, sometimes referred to as “CDL mills.” This reinforces something we’ve said for years: not all training providers are created equally.
For students, carriers and the motoring public, this matters.
When exceptional training standards are not met, safety suffers and the entire industry feels it.
At C1, we’ve never believed in shortcuts. We’ve built our reputation on structured programs, compliance with federal ELDT requirements, and instructors who are committed to doing things the right way.
Our leadership team has deep roots in the Commercial Vehicle Training Association which has spent decades helping shape responsible, high-quality training standards across the industry.
Accountability isn’t new to us; it’s something we’ve built our business on.
The industry is raising the bar, and we welcome it. We’ve been training at that level all along.

Trucking isn’t a “nice-to-have” career, it’s one of the main ways the country keeps moving.
A Congressional Research Service report found that, by weight, about 65% of U.S. freight moves by truck. That means this work is steady, essential, and not going anywhere.
If you’re looking for a career you can build a real future in, trucking is a trade with purpose. You’re not just getting a job, you’re stepping into an industry that powers everyday life.
