Broad Ripple has always been home to Linking Independent Women, and after everything this community has experienced recently, gathering together feels a little more meaningful.

We can’t wait to welcome Kate Elliott and hear her story — the labels we carry, the chapters we never expected, and what happens when we stop waiting for permission.

Come have coffee. Meet someone new. Laugh a little. And hopefully leave feeling a little lighter.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

It’s a question we ask little girls as if there will be one answer.

But maybe we don’t grow up to be just one thing.

We become mothers.
Partners.
Leaders.
Friends.
Builders.
Dreamers.

Women who start over, change direction, build careers, raise families, lose people we love, find new versions of ourselves and sometimes come back to dreams we started years ago.

I’ve been so many versions of me.

And I’m realizing I don’t have to choose between them.

That’s part of why Linking Independent Women means so much to me.

It’s a place for every phase, every chapter, and every version of the woman you are becoming.

And getting to build this next chapter alongside my daughter feels pretty special. ❤️

Maybe the question isn’t, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”

Maybe it’s:

Who are you becoming?

Your story matters. And there’s room for all of it here.
