Therefore, foreign languages are highly needed to interconnect people from different nations. As a result, learning foreign languages such as Chinese, Spanish, German, English, Italian, Japanese, Swahili, etc in preschools, kindergartens, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, vocational schools, colleges and universities is no longer an option but rather a must. The following services are provided by the center:

Language Training: French, ESL, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Swahili, Luganda, Lingala, and more. Our language instructors are qualified and experienced. You will enjoy high speed and high quality training. Our goal is to make learning fun rather than a headache. Language Clubs: Three language clubs –English, French, Spanish- are open to enable language lovers to practice their speaking-listening skills. The clubs will meet for 1 hour on the last Saturday of the month at 11 am at The Rescue Center. You will love it! Translation: We offer high quality translation services in many areas: letters, brochures, flyers, pamphlets, booklets, books, certificates, websites and much more. Call us for more details. It is our responsibility to honor the deadline for the client’s satisfaction. The work is done by an experienced and qualified team. It has to go through the editing and proofreading crew before it is handed to the client. Interpretation: Our professional interpreting team is at your entire service. We cover areas such as: seminars, conferences, medical appointments, job interviews, court cases and interrogations, evangelization meetings and crusades, teleconferences, etc. Transcription: This service is offered to people and organizations who would like their recorded or videotaped messages to be transcribed –transformed into written messages. Quality service is our priority. We request our customers to contact us at least 48 hours earlier prior to providing them with an interpreter. For bigger events, we request the clients to contact us at least 2 weeks before the event. Literacy Classes: We offer this service to residents who did not get the chance to learn how to read and/or write in their own native languages. Immigrants who can neither read nor write English will also benefit from this service. The unique purpose of this program is to participate in the breaking of the illiteracy backbone. These classes are offered at no cost to low income clients. Call us if you would like to inquire about the possibility of getting a ride to the center. We charge a very reasonable ride fee. ESL (English as a Second Language): We provide it, at a very affordable price, to non-native speakers who would like to learn English for a better integration in the Anglophone world. This class is offered at an affordable cost to low income people to help them improve their living by having access to job opportunities that require the use of English. College readiness Class: This program benefits students who are on the bridge to college. It helps them to learn how to prepare themselves before getting into college and what to expect once admitted. Mentoring help will be provided to fill out FAFSA forms, to meet scholarship deadlines, to learn how to write scholarship essays, to get organized in order to be academically successful. Writing Class/Stylistics: Writing is a critical area that most school and college students are struggling with. This program will focus on equipping elementary/middle/high school and college students with stylistic tools to draft, write, edit and proofread essays and other works of art. Do not drop out that class. You will need that foreign language in your post-college career. I promise you! You will love it and become one of the foreign language stars in your class. Refugee Exit Program: We have found highly-depressed refugees in the street trying to figure out which door to knock at once the sponsoring organization stops assisting them. This short-term program aims at assisting those frustrated refugees get supplemental help for a short lapse of time while they are in the process of being independent. We help them look for jobs, we give them a ride for different appointments and other errands, we train them how to use public transportation and how to integrate in their host culture, we teach them ESL, we help them access social services, we teach literacy to those who cannot read and/or write, and much more until they become self-reliant. Cross-Cultural Study: This program will help you to integrate in your host community. It is offered to immigrants coming to the United States and to US residents and citizens travelling abroad for research, business, mission work, visit, and the like. Adding this knowledge to the foreign language that you have just learned will make you very comfortable in your host country. Basic Computer Literacy: This program aims at helping people who are not computer literate acquire basic knowledge of this algorithm that is needed in our everyday life. It is getting harder and harder to function in this hi-tech post modern world without any computer knowledge whether it is filling out a job application online, sending and receiving e-mails, accessing social networks, paying bills online, searching important information on the internet, typing important documents and printing them, scanning, and more. This class is a boost for people who feel they are technologically behind. Learner's Permit Written Test and Driving Test Tutoring: This service tutor people who are in the process of getting a learner's permit in order to enable them to pass the BMV written and driving tests.
