Please join us in congratulating Adrainne Kelley-Wright, the Pike Township Educational Foundation's 2026 Champion Teacher!
PTEF Board Member Brandy Morris announced Ms. Wright's selection by reading the powerful nomination letter posted in part below:
"...Ms. Wright serves as a resource teacher at Deer Run Elementary, and although her time with students may be limited to daily pull-out sessions, the impact she makes in that time is extraordinary. She has been instrumental in supporting both of our sons, meeting each of them where they are and helping them grow in ways that go far beyond academics.
Last year, Ms. Wright worked closely with our older son, who is on the autism spectrum. Through her patience, understanding, and individualized approach, she helped him build confidence, develop skills, and feel supported in his learning environment. She took the time to truly understand his unique needs and created a space where he could succeed.
This year, she has continued to make a profound difference by working with our younger son, who has faced a few difficulties and challenges... Despite the limited time she has with him each day, she consistently goes above and beyond—providing the attention, encouragement, and support he needs to grow. Her ability to make every moment count and to create meaningful progress in such a short time speaks volumes about her skill and dedication.
..Ms. Wright has also been an incredible resource for my wife and me...She has offered guidance, reassurance, and insight that helped us better understand how to advocate for and support our children. Her willingness to partner with our family has made a meaningful difference during what could have been a challenging transition.
What makes Ms. Wright truly exceptional is not only her ability to teach, but her unwavering belief in every child she works with. She creates a safe, nurturing environment where students feel valued, understood, and capable. Her influence extends far beyond her designated time with students, leaving a lasting impact on ...families..."
