Explore and Learn Daycare and Preschool

If you or someone you know are looking for summer care for your child I will be running summer care from June 1st- July 31st. It is never too soon to plan for your summer break care. Space is limited.

My name is Sara McClaren and I run an in-home daycare/preschool located off of 135 and countyline. I care for birth to 5. I also have 4 openings for before and after school care for Douglass MacArthur Elementary and Douglas MacArthur Kindergarten Academy as long as you arrange it with bus transportation.

Thursday Nights I run Cub Scout Pack 134 out of Douglas MacArthur so children would have to be picked up by 6 pm at my house or picked up at the school from me.

--I am CPR/1st aid and NG tube trained. I have experience with special needs kids mainly on the Autism spectrum.
--I am currently working on my Early Childhood Education AAS.
--I use Indiana foundations as my curriculum and that's the same thing all pathway to quality uses.
-- When weather is good I have an outdoor playground for both toddlers and the older children
--I have a library of books for the kids to choose from with a wide range of subjects and reading levels
-- I have a huge playroom of toys that are developmentally appropriate for toddlers

I have changed my daycare's name from Ms. Sara's daycare and preschool to Explore and Learn Daycare and Preschool.

I do not take on a lot of children at the same time. I will still have small individual plans for children based on their age as always.

I wish there was a way to get a picture of it happening. Isaac, who is only 2, pointed to the letter T on my shirt and stated: "There's a T" to me.
I do work on letters but I do not concentrate on it normally for his age. He must have liked what little of the letter games we have played. What this means is I will adjust my lesson plan for him to learn what he has interest in.
