*True North Academy-Grades 11 and 12

“The purpose of True North Academy is to provide North Central High School students with an alternate educational path to graduation.”

• Through our individualized approach to teaching and learning, it is our expectation that students will become active participants in achieving their educational and career goals.

• Ta

rgeted educational services will assist students in obtaining their high school diploma.

• Utilizing both on and off campus learning opportunities, students will be able to fulfill their high school educational goals and start down the path of career opportunities.


*North Central Technology School (NCTS)-Grade 9

An opportunity for students to begin their high school years in a positive and successful manner while acquiring entry level marketable skills through a CTE experience.

-Engagement and interest in school.
-Get a jump start on credits.
-Develop good attendance patterns, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
-Achieve a positive self-image.
-Acquire grade level skills in Math and English.



*Opportunity/Transition-Middle School-Grades 6,7, and 8

Opportunity Program Purpose

The Opportunity Program exists to provide students the opportunity to make progress in academics, organizational skills and character development. The opportunity program is in place for students who have been expelled from their home middle school or have been placed in the program in lieu of expulsion. After completion of the Opportunity Program the student will be able to successfully return to a traditional school setting. Transition Program Purpose

The Transition Program exists to provide the opportunity for middle school students to make progress in academics, organizational skills and character development. The ultimate objective is for the student to be returned to the traditional school after three or more weeks of interventions.

❤️ Cultivating Kindness at True North Academy! ❤️ Mrs. Mang, True North School Counselor, works with students throughout the year to “cultivate kindness”. In honor of World Kindness Day she worked with the students to write “appreciation” notes. Mrs. Mang also decorated the school with affirmations and random acts of kindness and hosted a P&C for families.
