The Oaks Academy The Oaks is a diverse, Christ-Centered school serving Pre-K to 8th grade students in Indianapolis.

The Oaks Academy’s classical education model is guided by four principles developed by the educator Charlotte Mason

As children engage in the act of thoughtful imitation they form the ability to examine, emulate and extend the beautiful “texts” set before them. Principle of Active Learning-

The new year brings exciting leadership updates for The Oaks Academy’s Board of Trustees! Alicia Sanders has stepped into the role of Board Chair, supported by Stephanie Bothun (Vice Chair), Mark Hildebrand (Treasurer), Ryan Waggoner (Secretary), and Joe Meyer (Immediate Past Chair).

We’re also grateful to welcome our newly inducted trustees: Kraig Kinchen, Executive Director of 100 Black Men of Indianapolis Inc.; Jim Jay, Managing Partner at Chatham Equity Partners; Maureen Weber, Principal at 1248 Strategies, LLC; and Monica Richardson, Chief of Staff and Strategy at Newfields.

Congratulations to our very own alumni Justus Kelley ('09) on being crowned Miss USA last Thursday!! 🎉 👑

We are so proud of her. Justus is the first mom, wife, and woman in her 30s to earn the Miss USA title, and is an inspiration to so many!

At The Oaks, every grade heads out multiple times each semester. From boating on a canal to searching for leaves in a forest, these experiences give students the chance to connect what they’re learning in the classroom with the world around them.
