It was a great first day back! Our teachers jumped right in, and it was exciting to see our students eager to explore and begin a new school year. The building is looking better than ever with fresh paint, updated lighting, and a refreshed look. We’re excited for everything this year has in store!

A few reminders for students:
🚶 When traveling between NC and JEL, please use the tunnel. Door #1 is not a student entrance or exit.
🚗 Student drivers should enter and exit through Door 12.

We are thrilled to share that our Building Facilities & Maintenance teacher, Mr. Ken Acton, has been named one of just 50 finalists nationwide for the 2026 Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence!

This prestigious award recognizes outstanding skilled trades educators in U.S. public high schools. Mr. Acton is now in the running for one of 25 prizes totaling $2 million, to be awarded in Fall 2026.
