Student Spotlight: Meet Miranda!✨

Miranda is currently enrolled in our High School Equivalency program at BDU. Let's hear what she has to say about her INSPIRING journey:

Why did you start classes in Adult Education?
"I started classes at Wayne because I wanted to succeed in my own personal development and make a better life for myself. I want to inspire others to make their lives better, too."

What is your ultimate goal for attending classes?
"My ultimate goal for attending classes is to start with a Sterile Processing license and then become a pediatric nurse for Riley Hospital. I want to save babies' lives like Riley saved my own little brother."

Is there anything else you would like to share?
"With the support of my family, I have overcome many obstacles to be taking classes and reaching these goals. I lost several family members and had personal struggles, but my perseverance and faith in the Lord will help me achieve my goals. You can, too!"✈️

Exciting things are happening in our community! 🌟

We are so proud to partner with Ben Davis Christian Church to launch Global Voices ELL classes, where adult learners will acquire valuable English language skills while their children are cared for in a safe, nurturing environment.

A special shoutout to Alanta Clark, owner of Whimsey Nest and a proud graduate of our Career Training Entrepreneurship program, who will be leading our childcare program! 👏 ✨

"I started to learn English, now I want to get my GED."

"My goal is to go to college."

"I came from Haiti three years ago and started attending classes at Wayne Township Adult Ed two years ago. Wayne Township Adult Ed is a good program."
