🦉 Say hello to our Barred Owls! 🌲
We chose the Barred Owl because it connects so beautifully with the way our kindergarteners learn. Barred Owls live in the woods where we hike each week during our Forest Days at Ft. Harrison.
And if you've ever heard a Barred Owl, you may recognize its famous call!
“Who cooks for you? Who cooks for you all?”
“Who cooks for you?” is a classic mnemonic birdwatchers use to remember the Barred Owl's distinctive, rhythmic hooting call. We can't wait for our kindergarteners to learn how to recognize it when we're exploring the woods!
